The Kerrod Burt Foundation helps power the future of the Young Liberal Movement. Victorian Young Liberals 80th Anniversary Celebration
On 12 November 2025, the Victorian Young Liberals marked the 80th anniversary of our Movement. For eight decades, Young Liberals have driven campaigns, built organisational strength and supported the Party’s grassroots effort, and this milestone gave us the chance to recognise that history while focusing on the years ahead.
The event brought together past presidents, members and parliamentarians who have shaped the organisation across many eras. Hearing their experiences, from those who served in the years following the Whitlam dismissal right up to the past presidents of today, highlighted the continuity and strength of our Movement.
A key moment of the evening was the launch of the Kerrod Burt Foundation. The Foundation has been created to support the long-term future of the Victorian Young Liberals and to provide ongoing opportunities for emerging leaders.
By joining the Victorian Young Liberals, members become part of a long and proud story. The 80th Anniversary Celebration honoured that legacy and set the tone for the next chapter of our Movement.
